I shall start my blogosphere with a quote from my favorite German satirist, Kurt Tucholsky, who wrote this in the late 1910s, keenly anticipating German and US salesmanship:

 Because she has ingested 

Hitkinson's Laxative Pills

and has thus been  liberated from

her Unpleasant Constipation
