Beethoven For The Blog
An exciting, pulsating performance of the Eroica--and who was it? Rattle? Tennstedt? Kleiber? Not at all. One John Elliot Gardner with some kind of 'Romantic' orchestra. Well, one learns to set aside prejudices, I suppose. Nothing like 'the thing itself' to broaden one's mind.
